Worldwide College students’ Day celebrated worldwide

The date was initially chosen to commemorate the scholars and professors who had been killed in Prague, and hundreds despatched to focus camps, on November 17 1939, after demonstrations in opposition to the Nazi regime which shut down all universities in Czechoslovakia.
