Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary turned queen of the UK on February 6, 1952, and remained queen till her dying yesterday at Balmoral Citadel in Scotland. She was the longest reigning British monarch and the second-longest reigning monarch on the planet, second solely to King Louis XIV of France.
